On the way back to our village we happened upon yet another fun event. SO, we had to get a beer and jump in on the fun of course!
Glo started Kindergarten in September, what a big girl! And Liam was thrilled to join ABC montessori for his second year!
Summer was so jam packed with constant fun that I fell woefully behind on my blog. I finally did a Christmas update and when I looked back at the blog I realized I had not shared anything since July! Wow, how time flies. In those precious days before school resumed we had our fill of summer fun. We hit German festivals, the Black Forest for camping with friends, played soccer and tennis and enjoyed our last goodbyes with friends as they left Germany for their next chapters! What a whirlwind!
We decided to stay home and keep it casual with burgers on the grill, snacks and BYOB. So many great folks turned out. What a blast. We should do it more often. Thanks Miss Stephanie for the bounce house and for co-hosting with me! You are amazing darling!
It has finally felt like summer here, although intermittently I must admit 80 on Sat and iffy on Sunday and cool/rainy today…not sure what this German Summer has in store. We are making the most of it none the less. We have taken two bike rides that were over 20 km each. One was along the river near our home heading toward Waldfishbach and this last weekend we drove the bikes up to Bingen to ride along the scenic Rhine River. We had a blast both days and Liam has even jumped on the back of the tag along to pedal like a big guy- pretty cool for a 3.5 year old!
